This document is a technical report of suitability zoning for commercial cultivation of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) at a national level, scale 1:100,000, as a result of processes of strengthening planning of efficient use of rural land and land adaptation at a national level carried out by UPRA, aimed at directing investment in the agricultural sector.
The National Federation of Cereal and Legume Growers (Fenalce) and UPRA participated in the development of suitability zoning for commercial cultivation of corn with increasing technology in warm weather, which should be understood as a fundamental tool to organize the countryside and give to farmers, producers, unions and investors who want to venture into this crop, a practical instrument that contributes to the national, departmental and municipal productive planning. Zoning helps guide the formulation, execution, and targeting of public policies and instruments for the sector.

The study is the result of efforts to strengthen the planning for the efficient use of rural land and land development carried out by the Rural Agricultural Planning Unit (UPRA) with the aim of directing investment in the agricultural sector.
