The Rural Agricultural Planning Unit (UPRA) prepared a booklet that standardizes the most common types of contracts, normally used in the agricultural sector. This booklet gathers definitions, concepts of each contractual model, legal implications, benefits and difficulties in its implementation.

Together with the booklet that standardizes the most common types of contracts normally used in the agricultural sector, the Rural Agricultural Planning Unit (UPRA) prepared forms, that are documents that contain the minimum elements of guidance to consolidate a contract. The clauses contain an orientation towards the most favorable conditions for the agricultural sector.

In 2017, UPRA began gathering some of its main results in a land market atlas, in order to provide the country with the first work of this kind. It provides information on land markets in order to learn about its operation, relationship with the territorial agricultural system and gives inputs for the orientation of intra- and extra-sectorial public policies, in different geographical areas.

This document summarizes the effort of a transdisciplinary team of researchers from the Universidad Nacional and UPRA to conceptually approach components of the land market and its dynamics at a national level. Additionally, it presents a proposal for a legal framework and an institutional scene that affects the functioning of productive rural land markets in Colombia.

This document addresses the construction of a proposal to establish the maximum limit and regionalized limits for the first allocation, which corresponds to the "maximum amount for land purchase per family unit in current legal monthly minimum wages," to be updated annually by the National Land Agency. This value will be determined based on the referential commercial land values provided by the Rural Land Planning, Land Improvement, and Agricultural Uses Planning Unit - UPRA.
