Bogotá D.C., (@Minagricultura, @UPRAColombia, @claudialili76). The Agricultural Statistics Table, operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), continues to implement a robust strategy aimed at bringing sectoral statistical information to different actors in the regions, facilitating not only decision-making but also access to the necessary inputs for the consolidation of an increasingly structured agricultural sector.
"We are taking the Agricultural Statistics Table to the regions because we recognize the importance of producers and different sectoral actors knowing about sectoral information offerings, how to access them, and how to benefit from them for decision-making. Thus, during the plenary sessions, we not only present the projects we are advancing in collaboration with different entities but also make available the institutional offerings of UPRA to the users," said Oscar Pedraza, a professional at UPRA and leader of the technical secretariat of the Agricultural Statistics Table.
The attendees and regional producers appreciated the event and the sharing of various information systems. "These meetings are of utmost importance because they allow us to see what things are being done and how we, the producers, can benefit from all this. For us, it is very important because the Colombian Pacific has its eyes set on the development of Buenaventura, which is the natural capital of the Colombian Pacific," said Ruth Segura Balverde, a fishing guild leader in Buenaventura.
