Instituto Humboldt y UPRA desarrollan estrategias amigables con el medio ambiente para fortalecer la producción de alimentos

Bogotá D.C. (@UPRAColombia, @claudialili76). The Humboldt Institute and the Agricultural Planning Unit (UPRA) conducted an intersectoral coordination workshop that allowed for consensus on joint actions between management and technical teams in five priority areas, to:

  1. Achieve national and territorial planning, where biodiversity and its care are crucial for sustainable agricultural production in prioritized regions and ecosystems.
  2. Support the development of sustainable productive alternatives by integrating agrobiodiversity in the use of non-timber forest products.
  3. Coordinate information systems that facilitate interoperability, analysis, and decision-making for the environmental and agricultural sectors.
  4. Implement actions towards food traceability, ensuring its origin and good environmental and agricultural production practices.
  5. Take joint actions to achieve the goals of the Nationally Determined Contribution of the agricultural sector.

With these actions, the Humboldt Institute and UPRA aim to conduct an intersectoral and complementary exercise to strengthen the processes of planning for sustainable agricultural production
