Bogotá D. C., (@UPRAColombia, @claudialili76). During the Unified Command Post (PMU) led by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Jhenifer Mojica, with the departmental agriculture secretaries, the Rural Agricultural Planning Unit (UPRA) introduced the Territorial Kit: a set of guidelines that will enable the new leaders to make informed decisions in the agricultural sector.
Dora Inés Rey Martínez, Technical Director of Social Ordering of Property and Rural Land Market, stated that "considering that on January 1, 2024, new territorial administrations began, the UPRA worked in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Planning Department in formulating the territorial kit, which is available to all technical teams of territorial administrations."
The Territorial Kit will ensure the proper management of the territory, according to the objectives outlined in the National Development Plan 2022-2026 'Colombia, a World Power of Life.' "The Territorial Kit is published on the UPRA portal and consists of two main components; one is a file that consolidates agricultural territorial characterization for each department; additionally, it provides information on the technical inputs that UPRA has been generating in previous years through sectoral initiatives and also in agreements we have developed with various departments," added Martínez.
