Bogotá D.C., (@Minagricultura, @UPRAColombia, @claudialili76, @AgronetMADR). To monitor market behavior, prices, and inventories of agricultural inputs, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in conjunction with the Rural Agricultural Planning Unit (UPRA), has proposed a new regulatory resolution that sets the surveillance policy for these inputs, focusing on those inputs most relevant to the agricultural and livestock activities of the country.

"Today, we invite you to participate in the public consultation, analyzing the draft resolution so that you can send your comments and observations to proyectos.normativos@minagricultura.gov.co.Your voice is very important for all of us to build this resolution that will establish the surveillance policy for agricultural inputs. Interested parties have until May 7th to send their comments," Claudia Cortés, director of the Rural Agricultural Planning Unit-UPRA, stated.

With the new regulatory resolution, it is proposed to coordinate price surveillance in:

  • Fertilizers, conditioners, amendments, regulators, adjuvants, and agricultural pesticides, at the producer/importer and distributor (wholesale and retail) levels.
  • Agricultural bioinputs, at the producer/importer level.

  • Prepared animal feed from a prioritized basket, at the producer/importer level.
Currently, it is in the phase of receiving comments and observations. Subsequently, the submitted emails will be analyzed, and the new resolution that will activate the Agricultural Input Information Reporting System (SIRIIAGRO) will be coordinated.
