She holds a law degree from the Industrial University of Santander, a master’s degree in Constitutional Law and Human Rights from the University of Palermo (Argentina), a specialization in Administrative Law from the University of Rosario, and a specialization in Criminal Law from the Externado University of Colombia.

She has more than 20 years of professional experience. In the agricultural and land sector, she served as a public defender in strategic litigation before the Land Restitution Jurisdiction at the Ombudsman’s Office; as an attorney for Internal Disciplinary Control at the Colombian Institute for Rural Development (Incoder); and as a case manager at the Attorney General’s Office for proceedings involving constitutionally immune officials. In the judicial branch, she has served as a Criminal Circuit Judge and a Municipal Criminal Judge for Guarantees and Trial Proceedings. Her experience in public administration also includes structuring and providing comprehensive legal counsel on government procurement processes and highly complex agreements at national-level entities such as Colciencias and the IDRD, as well as international corporate counsel in the financial sector.
