EVA
EVA 2023
The information on the country's agricultural activity is captured by municipalities and production associations, according to the production cycle in the two semesters of the year.
In the Agricultural Evaluations (EVA), data is collected semiannually, making available to users information regarding cultivated areas, as well as the production of temporary and permanent crops. In this regard, and as a methodological improvement, since 2022, specifically for temporary crops, information on production obtained in each of the semesters is also provided, making this indicator comparable with the production in the same period of permanent crops and livestock activity.
Therefore, the measurement for 2023 begins with the monitoring of the effective production of temporary crops semiannually, as a fundamental indicator in accounting for the sector's productive activity.
Likewise, the generation of data continues for: 1) sowings for temporary crops; 2) cultivated areas and production of permanent crops; and 3) information regarding areas cultivated with forage (cut grass, crops) and silvopastoral systems, which complement the inventory records of livestock species and the slaughter of cattle and pigs, provided by ICA and the respective parafiscal funds.
